Winter Squash--Out. Summer Ones--In.

So it's been months, and perhaps feels like eons, since you last got your daily dose of vitamin D naturally— by the sun converting its precursor embedded on the surface of your skin. Slowly but surely the mercury is rising and layers are being shed but never, it seems, fast enough.

Full satisfaction will be realized only when you find yourself frolicking in the fields in nothing but your birthday suit..

..or am I flying solo on that one?..

But anyway, after that long-haul winter, I'm sure we all eagerly await the beautiful weather, potential hours breathing fresh air, beaches and pools, backyard/rooftop bbq's..

In hungry anticipation, the wait is over. Whether you can whip out the real outdoor grill yet or not, there's always the pan ready for the your indoor range. So tuck away the winter squash because summer squash is looking pretty good these days. All it takes is a little oil and freshly ground pepper and you're golden.
